We offer several scholarships to help dental assistants and other dental professionals advance their careers and reach their goals. Liz Koch Memorial Scholarship
The Liz Koch Memorial Scholarship is open to all dental professionals, including dental assistants and other oral healthcare team members. The scholarship was developed to help dental professionals pursue professional development and achieve their career goals. Scholarship recipients receive between $250 and $1,000 for professional development activities such as continuing education courses, DANB exams and certifications, DANB certification renewal, college courses, and dental conferences.
The Liz Koch Memorial Scholarship is now open! Applications are due May 5, 2025.

DANB/DALE Foundation Scholarship
The DANB/DALE Foundation Scholarship was established to support aspiring and early-career dental assistants in their careers, proving funds to enable them to enter into and grow within the dental assisting profession. Scholarship recipients receive between $250 and $1,000 for dental assisting education, exams, credentials, or activities that advance oral healthcare.
The 2025 DANB/DALE Foundation Scholarship is now closed. Recipients will be announced in May.
ADS-DANB-DALE Foundation Andrew Whitehead
Education and Certification Scholarship
The Association for Dental Safety (ADS), formerly known as the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP); DANB; and the DALE Foundation share a commitment to the health and safety of patients and providers and believe that everyone in dentistry plays an active role in providing safe, quality dental care. This scholarship is open to all dental professionals looking to earn infection prevention and control education and certification.
The ADS-DANB-DALE Foundation Andrew Whitehead Education and Certification Scholarship is now closed. Recipients will be announced in June.
ADAA/DANB Scholarship
The American Dental Assistants Association (ADAA) and DANB have partnered to offer a scholarship that supports dental assistants who are looking to grow in their careers. The ADAA/DANB Scholarship is open to all ADAA members in good standing. This scholarship is awarded annually to dental assistants who demonstrate a strong commitment to career growth and lifelong learning in the dental assisting profession. Scholarship recipients receive between $250 and $1,000.
