2024 ADAA/DANB Scholarship recipients

Five recipients have been selected for the 2024 American Dental Assistants Association (ADAA)/Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Scholarship. ADAA and DANB have partnered on this scholarship for more than 10 years to support ADAA members who are looking to grow their careers.

The recipients demonstrated a strong commitment to career growth and lifelong learning in the dental assisting profession. As part of their professional development, all scholarship recipients plan to pursue DANB certification. The scholarship awards ranged from $250 to $1,000, supporting each recipient’s continued growth and success.

Congratulations to the 2024 ADAA/DANB Scholarship Recipients

  • Autumn Brooks, CDA, of Mountain Home, Idaho, has more than five years of experience in dental assisting and serves as a noncommissioned officer in charge (NCOIC) of instrument processing and infection control at an Air Force clinic.
  • Fiona Galvez, of Hillsboro, Oregon, is a full-time dental assisting student at Portland Community College.
  • McKenzie Johnson, of Phoenix, Arizona, is a dental assisting student at the Western Maricopa Education Center.
  • Laquisha Key, of Grapevine, Texas, is a student in the Registered Dental Assistant program at Tarrant County College’s Northeast Campus.
  • Megan Vaux, of Boulder, Colorado, has nearly 10 years of experience in dental assisting and recently transitioned to a surgical assisting position at a mid-sized practice.
