New toolkit strengthens dental practices
The well-being of staff and patients is vital to the success of any dental practice. To help foster positive, safe, and supportive cultures, the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and the DALE Foundation, with the support of the Dental Assistant Workforce Coalition, created the Empowered Workplaces for Dental Assistants Toolkit. This resource includes valuable tools, strategies, and complimentary CE courses to address crucial workplace issues.
The toolkit supports the entire dental team’s professionalism and safety — share it with dental professionals in your network and encourage them to plan a team-building day using the courses and resources.

Establish dental practice values
According to DANB’s research, about half of all dental assistants said their workplace doesn’t have a statement on values or culture or they are not sure if it does. Additionally, 41% said they have experienced hostility or abuse at work.
The Empowered Workplaces for Dental Assistants Toolkit features resources to create and communicate guiding principles to shape your organization’s culture and values, leading to a positive work environment, higher employee engagement, and increased productivity for all. These principles were developed by the Dental Assistant Workforce Coalition.
