Dental Assistant Levels and Requirements
Radiography Requirements
Any person working in a dentist’s office who operates dental radiographic equipment must:
1a. Pass a Board-approved course in radiation safety which includes theory, laboratory, and clinical application in radiographic technique
OR
1b. Have passed a radiation exam conducted by the California Board prior to Jan. 1, 1985.
